Frequently Asked Questions

  • How far in advance do I place my order?
    We advise ordering at least 5 working days in advance to guarantee your order. When the date is fully booked it means we can't accept any more orders.
  • How fast do you reply?
    Our customer service opening hours from Monday to Friday, 10am- 3pm. We will endeavour to reply on the same day, but please be patient as it's not always possible.
  • What payment do you accept?
    We accept Bank transfer, cash on collection (20% deposit for order over £50) and PayPal. Please let us know what is your prefer method when placing your order.
  • Do I have enough time to order for next day?
    Next day orders cut off at 12pm Monday to Friday. Monday orders need to be in by Friday 12pm as customer service is closed on the weekend. Payment needs to be done by the time we provided on the confirmation email.
  • What happens if I miss deadline for payment?
    We will first send you a reminder, if you go ahead with the order please transfer your money at the second due date we provided. If your order is for next day, we won't be able to make it in time, therefore let us know via email if you'd like to move for the following day.
  • What area do you cover to for MCR local delivery?
    Our MCR local delivery areas include M1, M3, M4, M5, M7, M9, M13, M15, M40, M50 & M60 . Delivery fee will be applied in the cart/check out depending on your area. If your postcode isn't included in our section, unfortunately we can't deliver to you area at this time, it's collection only. Delivery time slot is normally between 12-2pm on Monday-Friday and 11am-12:30pm on Saturday.
  • Can I choose another time for delivery if I am not available during 12-2 pm?
    Yes you can. We will arrange an individual delivery for you, unfortunately this means the delivery fee will vary.
  • Can I choose an exact time for delivery during 12-2 pm?
    Unfortunately not, we have a lot of deliveries going out with our driver and we cannot guarantee a specific time.
  • How do I know if my order is out of delivery?
    You should receive a text message about the estimated arrival time an hour before its out of delivery and also when it's on its way to you. Keep your phone with you so you won't miss it. If you have any issue about receiving calls/ messages please do let us know as early as possible.
  • Can you leave my delivery at reception desk?
    As we are a small independent company, we don't have enough staff and time to deliver to your door if you live in a apartment block/ student house/ hotel. For this reason if we ask you to come down to collect, please do so at the requested time.
  • What time and where for Pick up
    Our Collection address is Unit 9B, Wilsons Park, Monsall Road M40 8WN. Collection time for Tuesday- Friday anytime between 1-3pm and for Saturday 11am-12pm. There may be times where we can offer a different collection time, but we cannot guarantee anything.
  • Can I have multiple flavours in a Madeleine box?
    The minimum quantity is 9 Madeleines per flavour. However we do multiple Madeleine box once weekly, for more details please check out our new post on Instagram when pre-order is open.
  • Can I mix the Madeleine flavours per box if I purchase more than one box(one flavour)?
    Yes you can, we suggest to purchase 3 boxes(3 flavours) and evenly pack 3 of each per box.
  • How long do your cakes last for and how to store them?
    Madeleines have 5 days shelf life at Room temperature. Chiffon sponge has 3-4 days and is stored at room temperature as well. Basque cheese cake, buttercream cakes and fresh cream cakes have 2days shelf life and must be kept refrigerated.
  • Can I customise my cake?
    Yes you can. We do customised buttercream cake, please check out our bespoke cake page for more details or send us an image of your dream cake. We will then discuss if we could make it. Unfortunately, it’s not available for the fresh cream cake option.
  • Can I add some ingredients or more decorations on fresh cream cakes?
    Unfortunately no. Our fresh cream cakes are specially designed to our chef’s style and well balanced with flavours and components. We can however, take out any items that you are allergic to.
  • Are your cakes delivered nationwide?
    Madeleines/ Chiffon sponges are available to deliver by post, dispatched on Tuesdays to Thursdays with Royal mail Tracked 24 or Next day delivery. However, Basque cheese cakes, buttercream cakes and fresh cream cakes are only available in Manchester.
  • Can I cancel my order?
    Your order is reserved and we do have limited space so If you require your order to be cancelled the following apply: 1. More than 3 days from delivery date - Full cost will be refunded 2. 0 to 3 days to delivery/collection date - 50% of the total cost will be refunded *All order cancellations must be made in writing to our customer service.
